Re: connecting
At this year's fair, you will have the chance to experience Re: connecting, an exhibition curated by Mia Nielsen, Director of Art Toronto. You will discover works from the exhibition across the fair in Platform, Booth A56, Booth C33, Installation I02, and Installation I03. Tag us in your posts to share your experience
Art Toronto was founded in a time when the internet was young, before social media and the rise of platforms that have simultaneously expanded and flattened (literally and figuratively) our conversations around contemporary art. This group show—inspired by the fair’s 25th anniversary and spread across the show floor—features artworks that demand in-person inspection, defying the quick consumption our screens were designed for. With textures, material, sound and scale, they must be seen with the whole self, by moving around each work, passing through it, observing how a breeze activates the work or seeing how another person is affected by it.
